Over 14,750 square kilometers make up the Serengeti, home to the largest terrestrial mammal migration in the world. Its plains are traversed by millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles in search of better pastures, creating an amazing spectacle. The park's diverse ecosystems sustain a wide range of other species, and you can see the Big Five including the lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino in their natural habitats. One option is to take a hot air balloon safari early in the morning, which provides an amazing opportunity to soar over the Serengeti at first light and see unmatched wildlife sightings and stunning vistas.
