Day 1 Zanzibar to Ngorongoro Crater

Today, you will take a morning flight from Zanzibar to Arusha. Upon arrival at Arusha Airport, our driver-guide will be ready to pick you up, commencing a picturesque journey to Ngorongoro Crater. The park is near Arusha city, and it will take approximately 3 hours to reach the Ngorongoro gate.

You will see a great number of animals living within the crater, including lions, buffaloes, zebras, hyenas, and antelopes. If you are lucky, you will also see rhinoceros. You will enjoy a picnic lunch along the crater lake and proceed with game drives. Afterward, you will drive to the lodge close to Lake Manyara National Park.

The crater is the world's largest caldera, formed after an explosion that occurred approximately 2.3 million years ago. The crater floor is 1,800 meters (5,900 feet) above sea level. The area has around 30,000 animals and a great variety of birds.

In the evening, you will drive to your accommodation in Ngorongoro for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2 Central Serengeti National Park (Big Five spotting)

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up for a game drive with a picnic lunch. On this day, your guide will try to cover the best parts of Central Serengeti, which you couldn’t cover on the first day. In the evening, you will find accommodation in Central Serengeti for dinner and an overnight stay.

Serengeti is a park located in northern Tanzania. It is a world-renowned national park covering an area of around 15,000 square kilometers, with over 1.3 million wildebeest, 4,000 lions, 1,000 leopards, 550 cheetahs, and some 500 bird species. The area has massive herds of migratory wildebeest and zebras during the dry season. However, the Northern Serengeti also supports abundant resident wildlife including lion, elephant, hippo, giraffe, crocodile, and the rare Oribi antelope.

Day 3 Serengeti - Arusha Airport to Zanzibar

On this day, we recommend that you leave as early as possible from the accommodation to maximize the opportunity to observe the variety of animals that are only active during the morning hours, typically for around 4 hours. Later in the afternoon, you will proceed to Arusha Airport to catch your flight back to Zanzibar.
