Day 3 Lake Manyara National Park
You will have an early breakfast before you set out to Lake Manyara National Park for a sunrise game drive. The lush gardens of Manyara provide fantastic viewing while driving through. The park itself has amazing landscapes that are difficult to describe with its giant figs, mahogany trees, and acacia forest. This is one of the few places where you can find tree-climbing lions in the daytime. The lake itself is shallow and alkaline and therefore attracts lots of bird species and animals too. It is estimated to have over 450 bird species. Elephant herds love drinking and playing in the refreshing waters of the river, which is home to lots of flamingos. Elands and zebras join in to water and grassy plains. This park also has a growing population of baboons and blue monkeys. In the afternoon, you will transfer back to Arusha to complete your short safari with us. Hot lunch will be included on your transfer route.
