Over the nine-hour trip, pass through bamboo forests, tropical rainforests, and mountains. Then, from Entebbe or Kampala, the drive to the mountain gorilla sanctuary takes more than seven hours, with the majority of that time spent on smooth surfaces and around 45 minutes of dusty muram. Day 2: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park- Gorilla Trekking;
Proceed to the morning briefing after breakfast, and then enjoy the trip's high point, gorilla trekking, which could take the whole day. With the help of a guide and gorilla trackers, we hike with the gorillas through bamboo-covered slopes and rainforests in search of a family of mountain gorillas. The occasional difficult and drawn-out walking will be quickly forgotten when you get a glimpse of the magnificent silverback. When the gorillas are sighted, guests are led to a distance of six meters from them, where they sit and stare into the large, round eyes of the primates for an hour. Trekking with gorillas is erratic. It's hard to estimate how long you will hike. The gorilla tracking adventure can last anywhere from two to eight hours. It may take some time to walk through steep, muddy terrain and occasionally rain before you come across gorillas. Being in good physical health is advised. An hour is allotted for visits with the gorillas in order to preserve their habitat. You will receive training from a ranger on how to interact with the gorillas. Lunch will be provided with a bottle of mineral water. After trekking you will descend to the main gate to receive your trekking certificates. Dinner and overnight at Chameleon Hills Lodge.
